Arrival in Lucerne by train 2nd class from the Swiss border or airport. Overnight in Lucerne.
Full day at leisure in Lucerne. We suggest the following optional excursions: Mount Titlis with its famous revolving cablecar, Mount Pilatus the Golden round trip or Mount Rigi the Queen of the mountains. Overnight in Lucerne.
Train journey from Lucerne to Lugano. Experience the new Gotthard Base Tunnel – with 57 kilometres it is the longest train tunnel in the world. It takes only 17 minutes to travel this fast flat-track route under the Alpine massif in the heart of Europe.

Today you travel with the Bernina Express of the Rhaetian Railway along the UNESCO World Heritage route. Enjoy an Alpine switchback ride, taking you from the high, towering glaciers of the mountains down to the swaying palms of Italy.
The Bernina Express is the highest railway line across the Alps, linking Northern and Southern Europe in the most spectacular way! First the Bernina Express coach takes you to Tirano where
you will have time for an optional lunchbreak. Then board the Bernina Express train to St. Moritz. Overnight in St. Moritz.

An incomporable experience awaits you today. The Zermatt Bergbahnen take you up to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise which is Europe’s highest cable car station at 3883 m. For a little fee you may take the Crystal Ride cabins from Trockener Steg to the summit, an unbeatable experience. The 360° pan-

Today you take a regional train through the Valais, which is well known for its excellent wines, to Montreux. We recommend a visit to Chillon Castle, a moated castle on the shores of lake Geneva. Overnight in Montreux.
Train journey with the GoldenPass Panoramic train (or optional GoldenPass Belle Époque) take you to Zweisimmen then with the GoldenPass Line to Interlaken. You find yourself among alpine forests, bubbling mountain springs and picturesque mountain villages. Possibility to stop in Gstaad for an optional excursion to Glacier 3000. Overnight in Interlaken.
